Why It Feels Like Everyone Else Has It Figured Out
Everyone else's highlight reel, next to your unedited behind-the-scenes. That's not a fair comparison, and it's not actually true.
The scroll makes it worse. Everyone else's life arrives pre-edited, highlight reel only, and yours is the only one you see the boring middle of.
It's not that they're actually ahead. It's that you're comparing your behind-the-scenes to their trailer, and a trailer will win every time.
What you're actually measuring yourself against is usually a timeline nobody asked you to agree to, borrowed from wherever you first learned what "on track" was supposed to look like.
The fix isn't less scrolling, though that helps. It's deciding what on-track actually means to you, specifically, before measuring anything against it again.
