Do You Need a Dating Coach, or Something Else Entirely?
Dating coaches fix what you say. They can't touch who you keep choosing, and that's usually the actual problem.
Dating coaches teach the parts of dating that are genuinely learnable: how to open a conversation, how to plan a first date that doesn't feel like an interview, how to read interest without overanalyzing it.
None of that touches the part underneath: why the same kind of person keeps ending up across the table from you, again, regardless of how the conversation opens.
If dating feels hard because you don't know what to say, coaching helps. If dating feels hard because you keep choosing people who turn out to be the same disappointment in a different outfit, the problem was never the small talk.
That's not a skills gap. It's a pattern, one that's usually invisible from inside it, and a lot easier to see once someone helps you look at your last few choices side by side instead of one at a time.
